Topeka Area Catbackers $1000 Scholarship

Topeka Area Catbackers annually awards a $1000 scholarship. This scholarship provides financial assistance to a KSU student who is currently enrolled or plans to attend Kansas State. One scholarship will be awarded each school year to a child or grandchild of a parent/grandparent who are current active members. Selection is based on academic achievements, honors, leadership, work and community experience and career goals.

Eligibility – candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Graduate of a Topeka area high school.
  • From a family (parents or grandparents) with current membership in the Topeka Area. Catbackers verified April 1, 2024.

  • Current enrollment at KSU as a full-time student or a prospective high school graduate who will be attending KSU in the upcoming academic year.

  • Submission of completed scholarship application by April 1, 2024.

Payment of the Award – $500 for each Fall & Spring semester will be made from KSU Enrollment Office.

Application Process

Scholarship recipient will be selected based on their written application and a possible personal interview by the selection committee. Applications must be received by April 1st, 2024.

Final selection and notification of the scholarship recipient will be by May 1st, 2024. The recipient and his/her parents or grandparents will be invited to the annual Topeka Catbackers Summer Tour prior to the fall semester for which the scholarship will be awarded.
