About

Who We Are

Started in 1982 as the Kaw Valley Catbackers (KVCB), the Topeka Catbacker Club is supported by the KSU Athletic Department and the K-State Alumni Association. Catbackers are volunteer boosters from the Topeka, Kansas area who join together as an organized club.

What WE Do

As an Organization we host two events each year. One is our Summer Event where we have a guest speaker(s) come in that give us their stories, experiences, and insight to K-State that we can’t get anywhere else. At the event, we encourage our attendees to mingle with everyone, the guest speaker(s), check out the live and silent auction items, grab some drinks and food and enjoy their time!

Our second event of the year is our Annual Golf Tournament we host. The golf tournament is a 4-person scramble, lunch and drinks provided, along with flight winners and raffle prizes. Grab some friends and sign up for the tournament and enjoy the time with K-Staters. In years past we have had former players, AD Gene Taylor along with other Athletic Department staff come to enjoy in the fun times. You never know who might show up next.

With the help of our amazing donors and sponsors, we are able to put on these events for everyone to join. The money the Topeka Catbackers raises during these events goes back to local high school kids’ scholarships as well as the Ahearn Fund at Kansas State!
